This is a practical language textbook for Thai students who study Chinese at the intermediate level. It is jointly compiled by Chinese and Thai experts from Beijing Language and Culture University Bangkok Campus. The texts selected involve in Thai society, culture and life, which are closely related to the reality in Thailand. In modern, fashionable and standard language and with an emphasis on the translations of sentence patterns, this book teaches translation methods in a comprehensive way and focuses on the comparisons between the two languages. "A Table of words' pinyin annotations" is specially designed at the end of each text, in which the "words' annotations" and "supplementary words" parts are annotated in pinyin for tour guides or users to develop their interpretation skills. Besides, the "Translations of texts and keys to exercises" part is bound in another volume, which can not only facilitate students to review or study the book on their own after class, but also help teachers to teach better in class.
