From 2008 to 2009, the Academic Affairs Office of BLCU had organized a classroom observation of and academic seminar on comprehensive Chinese course, with the participation of BLCU’s College of Chinese Studies, College of Advanced Chinese Training and College of Intensive Chinese Training. Through observing, commenting, discussing and summarizing, they reached the goal of displaying and refining the idea, principle, modes and methods of teaching that had been always observed by the TCFL teachers in BLCU. Selected from the results of the event mentioned above, the nine teaching plans in this book reflect nine prominent teachers' understandings of and ideas about second language teaching, teaching Chinese as a foreign language and comprehensive course teaching.
