Chinese Paradise is a series of elementary Chinese learning materials for children. Based on the cognitive and psychological characteristics of children, it integrates language and culture learning, skill training with intellectual development. It combines different forms of learning such as watching, listening and speaking with singing and game playing, motivating children to use their eyes, ears, mouths, brains and bodies, so that they learn and use Chinese in a fun and relaxed way.

Inside Student's Book, there are interactive sentence patterns, new words, Chinese characters learning, illustrative introduction to Chinese culture and language, various games and activities such as handiwork, songs, and stories. It contains 6 units, 12 lessons in all. Each lesson teaches 1 or 2 Chinese characters, about 10 phrases, and 1 elementary sentence pattern. Having finished this book, the learner can make simple sentences, sing some Chinese children's songs, and know something about Chinese culture.
Liu Fuhua is the deputy dean of College of the Humanities and International Language College of Jilin University, whose research involves teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, international Chinese teaching materials, and international Chinese education. Ms. Liu has engaged in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language since 1985 and has presided over several key textbook projects planned by Hanban. She has published two academic books, General Discussions on Linguistics and Chinese Pronunciation Training Course, five international Chinese textbooks and more than 30 academic papers on international Chinese education, etc.
