The Chinese Proficiency Test (Elementary-Intermediate), abbreviated as HSK (Elementary-Intermediate), is a standard test to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers on elementary-intermediate level. The State Committee for the Chinese Proficiency Test established by the Ministry of Education is in charge of holding the HSK test regularly inside and outside of China.
