As foreign students learning Chinese language in China have lots of ways to spend their leisure time after classes, they need a great deal of Chinese expressions and a huge Chinese vocabulary in their recreation apart from what they might learn from the formal textbooks. After all, the contents and vocabulary of any published textbooks will never be as fresh as those of our every-day life. With thirty topics related to recreation, this handbook is designed to provide the foreign learners with a new solution and a large number of recreation-related set phrases and expressions in an easy and lively style. After going through this handbook, the foreign learners will be able to learn a great number of lively common Chinese words and expressions, expand the scope of their topics, and improve their Chinese level.
     
In the beginning section of "记住这些句型'' in each chapter, typical expressions are listed with substitutions. Difficult words and expressions are listed to help learners understand and remember the dialogue and text. Though not included in the text of the chapter, an extra vocabulary related to the recreational topic of the chapter is provided in the section of "也许你需要" to help the learners expand their vocabulary and topics.
    
Finally, we hope that this handbook may also serve as a guide for foreign learners to spend their after-class hours.
